David John Nichols Surrounded by his family and listening to his favourite tunes David passed away on Wednesday, January 14th, 2009 at the age of 48 years. He was born on December 22nd, 1960. To treasure his memory he leaves behind his children, Michael, Amber and Brayden; his mother, Viva Nichols; sisters, Bonnie (Al) Striemer, Connie (Ray) Yablonski; brother, Willard (Karen) Nichols and families; father-in-law, Mac Barber; brother-in-law, Spence (Terry) Barber; sister-in-law, Sandy (Ray) Flynn and families; many relatives and countless friends. When he left us he went into the welcoming arms of his wife Shirley, father Clarence and mother-in-law Greta. David worked at various jobs including Norsask Tire, Fountain Tire and most recently Ridsdale Transport. David was an open-hearted, out-going happy person. He had an infectious laugh and beautiful smile as well as a fantastic sense of humour. His children were his priority and he loved them deeply. Other loves he had were gardening, landscaping and more recently he was experimenting with different types of wood-carving. He was also a talented artist. No matter what his interests were he always had time to spend with friends and family. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, January 19th at 3:00 p.m. from Hillcrest Funeral Home (east on 8th Street, turn right before railway crossing). The family expresses a special thanks to the caregivers at Parkridge Centre for their concern and kindness. Flowers gratefully declined.
