Robert Scott Walsh

WALSH, Robert Scott - Robert was born September 12, 1959, the only son of Jack and Alretta. He passed way October 29, 2013 in a tragic truck accident. Robert took all of his schooling in Melfort except for two football seasons in grade 11 and 12 when he played football for the Saskatoon Hilltops. He played for 6 seasons with the Hilltops from 1976 to 1981. He set the record for the longest standing career. After high school, he attended Kelsey Institute where he graduated with a Heavy Duty Mechanics certificate. Robert then began his successful career as a bus driver with Western Trailways. In May 1987, he began driving for Saskatchewan Transportation Company (STC) where he was employed until his passing. Robert loved farming and took holidays to help with seeding and harvest for friends and family. He was always willing to help anyone in need and put others ahead of himself. Any job that he did was done to perfection. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was known for his wisecracks and one-liners. Robert has touched the lives of all who knew him and has left behind a legacy of being a big, strong man with a humble servant's heart. Robert is survived by his wife Maureen, his two daughters Alison Walsh (Rich Loyst) and Robyn (Warren) Zeabin, his mother Alretta, his twin sister Rhonda (Jim) Edworthy and his sister Shelley Brittain, his step children Denee (Jordon) Flodell, Jeannelle (Sean) Isberg, Jolynne (Derek) Jackson, Carlie Guillet and Deon Guillet, his grandchildren Kyle, Kalen and Hudson Flodell, Mackenzie, Liv, Ellie, Dani and Evan Isberg, and Kaitlyn Isberg. His two nephews Marius and Kent Brittain, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Robert is predeceased by his father Jack. A football scholarship is being set up for an MUCC student in Robert's memory. All donations have been placed in this trust.12637186
