In Memory

Laura Braithwaite

It was a huge shock to all of us when we heard that our beautiful friend and classmate, Laura, died in her mid twenties after ending her own life. She was admired for her external beauty but more importantly loved for her inner beauty.  As young girls growing up with her, we all wanted to be just like her. She was pretty, popular, kind, friendly, fun and had such a caring heart. What great memories I have of the sleepovers with all of the Montgomery gals.  Unfortunately as we all grew apart after school, none of us were aware of the deep inner battles going on within her.  We hope you have found happiness and peace, Laura wherever you are. What a perfect Angel you must make!

I remember hearing of Laura's death and how mad I was at myself for not keeping in contact with her. At the time I felt that if I'd talked to her, that her grief and sadness could have been overcome. I will never know what went on in Laura's mind but I hope that she knew that we all loved her. Laura was my buddy since kindergarten and will always be remembered. I know that you'll be smiling down at us throughout the weekend. Cheers
